DEBBIE BUTLER

Integrative Counsellor FdSc Registered Member BACP
I believe that good mental health is essential for building resilience and navigating life’s challenges at any age. For children and young people, fostering strong mental health lays the foundation for growing into healthy, well-rounded adults, while early intervention can prevent serious health issues later in life. For adults, prioritizing mental health supports stress management, healthier relationships, and overall well-being, empowering individuals to thrive and achieve fulfillment.
Child and Teen Counselling
Counselling helps a child to explore, identify and manage their emotions and behaviours. Counselling can help children and teenagers to have an understanding of how to work through times when emotions run high.
Changes in routine, exam stress and changes in family life can all have a big impact on children and teens.
The most important benefit of counselling is that a child has a safe space to talk to someone who isn't a family member.
Young Adult
Counselling

Very often a young adult will want to talk about a specific issue.
The journey into adulthood can be an enjoyable time, although it may come with some challenging times which bring with them complex emotions.
Having an explicit understanding of issues such as: stress, anxiety ,relationships, sexuality, young adults can be better prepared to manage challenges as they enter adulthood.
